Hello! My name is Heather, and you may have seen me over at Homestead Grub on YouTube. I’m a writer by nature, so I am much more comfortable behind the laptop than the camera—articles are MUCH more regular than videos!

My husband and I are happily married, with one little kiddo, and we live in a Midwestern 6b grow zone with our dog, Luna, and some crazy chickens.

We started homesteading in 2019, and while I have a few more skills now, I still have lots to learn! I hope you’ll come along and follow our garden and kitchen adventures! In 2025, we look forward to establishing a new homestead on this new property, as we build systems and celebrate traditions in our forever home.
